Hi, I’m Cindy Dahl – Author! Dang that still sounds weird (but I love it). I was one of three partners (VP of Operations) of a large Telecom Company. We lived the American Dream of starting a company and selling it in the 7 figures. After taking some time off, I decided to become a CMT (Certified Massage Therapist). Now, I’m writing Children’s books. What? Why? How? I’ve heard it all, and here is my quick response.
Ok, elephant in the room, being in my 40’s is probably mid life…I said it. It’s out there, FINE! Reality time, I ask myself, “What do I really want to do with my life?” ”What do I want to leave for my three beautiful children?” ”Can I do anything to help make a difference for young people; good values to carry throughout their life?” The answer was I could write children’s books with a positive message. I truly feel you are never too young (or old) to learn to be kind to one another, have good self esteem, and share with others.
Introducing GLíCK. It is a word I made up. I was looking for a word that could describe my character and there was nothing out there. The words I was looking for were Giving, Loving, Inspiring, Caring and Kind. What word describes all this? GLíCK!
